Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Physical Conditions team within the Adult Community Rehabilitation Service. This forward-thinking service provides interdisciplinary rehabilitation to adults, divided into Neurological and Physical Conditions pathways.
The team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Dieticians, Clinical Psychologists, and Neuropsychologists. Support is provided by a Consultant Allied Health Professional, a Consultant Neurologist, rehabilitation assistants, and administrators. The team actively participates in neighbourhood multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs).
This role is suitable for someone looking to develop clinical skills in community-based rehabilitation. You will manage a diverse caseload of clients with complex long-term health conditions and may support group-based rehabilitation classes. The therapy interventions are goal-led, client-centered, and flexible. The service primarily operates in the community, with opportunities to provide interventions in our onsite outpatient gym and other community facilities, including remote/virtual working.
You will also manage a rehabilitation assistant or a band 5 rotational physiotherapist and work closely with senior physiotherapists to review and develop the service.
