Specialist Clinical /Counselling Psychologist - Qualified

Essential

  • Degree level as a minimum plus developed specialist and practical knowledge equating to postgraduate degree/ Masters level
  • Registration with HCPC or relevant body as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist.
  • Evidence of clinical experience of working with client population. A clear track record of managing complexity and risk whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery
  • Expertise of managing and treating the client group Some experience of clinical supervision
  • Experience in supporting direct wellbeing reviews with parents and their babies in a health visiting clinic
  • Knowledge of working with families facing complex difficulties, who may be working with several professionals or struggle to access community services
  • Skilled in offering safegaurding, consultation, assessment and intervention to families referred to the service.
  • Demonstrate equality, diversity and inclusion awareness and application of EDI issues

Desirable

  • Involvement in interventions for families where there are issues related to complex trauma and attachment.
  • Some experience of involvement in project work e.g. quality improvement
  • Some experience of clinical management of staff
