Aneurin Bevan University Health Board support flexible working.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job Overview

This post is fixed term for 2 years to meet the needs of the service.

This post is part of the growing Research Delivery team based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The post holder will be responsible for the set-up and delivery of studies, working as part of a multi-professional team. This will include complex trials managed within our Clinical Research Centre and research studies in specialties across the Health Board.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse/AHP to develop their career in a committed, collaborative and supportive team. Personal and professional development is a priority and you should expect a range of training and development opportunities.

We are especially keen to hear from applicants with experience of clinical research delivery, however full training will be provided. You should be an experienced professional with a strong interest in research and person- centred care.

The Research Officer role is suitable for experienced Clinical Research Practitioners and Registered Allied Health Professionals.

Main duties of the job

  • Support recruitment to patients to clinical trials
  • Supporting clinical procedures within the specification of the clinical trial.
  • Training and assessing other staff

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
