Join to apply for the Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, Rotational Medicine role at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.

We are excited to offer a new rotational programme at a more senior level for pharmacists at NGH, covering medicine specialties such as cardiology, respiratory, stroke, gastroenterology, and admissions.

This programme enables you to develop and broaden your skills across a wider portfolio with opportunities to specialise.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Working within a clinical medical specialty for 6 months, ensuring safe and effective medicines optimisation.
  2. Participating actively in ward rounds and integrating within the multidisciplinary team.
  3. Working in pharmacy-led clinics when available.
  4. Undertaking projects, quality improvements, audits, and research within the specialty.
  5. Developing guidelines and PGDs within the specialty.
  6. Conducting root cause analysis of medicine-related incidents and presenting at governance meetings.
  7. Training pharmacy and healthcare professionals within the specialty.
