Job summary

Integrated Care System is seeking a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join their Pharmacy team at Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. Qualifications

• Must have a Master's Degree in Pharmacy and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy and clinical settings is essential.
• Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above considered desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy service to various hospital wards.
• Assist with dispensary work for outpatient clinics.
• Contribute to the education and training of junior pharmacists.

Specialist Clinical Pharmacist

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Pharmacy team. The post holder will be based at the Princess of Wales Hospital (POWH) in Bridgend.

Princess of Wales Hospital is located off the M4 in Bridgend, with easy access from both the West and the East corners of Wales.

Main duties of the job

This role provides an exciting opportunity to build on previous pharmacy experience to enhance your clinical knowledge and medicines management skills within secondary care. Successful candidates will provide a clinical pharmacy service to wards which may include Medicine, Acute Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, COTE, ITU and Mental Health. Duties will also include dispensary based work where we service a wide range of out-patient clinics. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop and hone your clinical pharmacy skills in a dynamic working environment. There is opportunity to contribute to the education and training of junior pharmacists and trainees.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing candidates. Qualifications

• Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical or Hospital Pharmacy, or equivalent clinical experience.
• Good knowledge of medicines management.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• MSc in Clinical Pharmacy.
• Other clinical qualification (certificate/diploma).
• Evidence of building your portfolio for RPS Faculty.
• Independent prescriber
• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)

Experience

• Experience of working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
