This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical or counselling psychologist with an interest in physical health, particularly chronic pain management. The post offers opportunities to develop clinical, supervision, consultation, and teaching skills. The Trust has a strong research department with ongoing projects mainly based on audit and service evaluation. We collaborate with the University of Southampton Doctoral Training Programme and regularly host undergraduate placements from the University of Surrey and the University of Portsmouth. Our active base of PMP graduates volunteers and supports within our services.
HIOW Healthcare Trust provides high-quality pain management services for patients with persistent pain across Southampton, South East Hampshire, Fareham & Gosport, and Portsmouth. We also offer a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Service in Portsmouth. Our psychologists work across interdisciplinary teams, including physiotherapy, nursing, OT, and doctors, all committed to psychological approaches. We provide ongoing education, training, and supervision as part of our multidisciplinary team.
