We are delighted to be advertising a specialist clinical/counselling psychology post to progress and develop the psychology offer across all WCDS diagnostic and intervention pathways. We are looking for a dynamic clinical/counselling psychologist who has good insight and working knowledge of SEND and values multidisciplinary working.
The post holder will work as part of a progressive psychology team within a larger multidisciplinary Child Development Service that provides assessment and intervention for children with neurodevelopmental differences. A primary focus for WCDS psychology has been to develop the social communication assessment pathway, including the pre and post-diagnostic support.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children who have neurodevelopmental differences; however, applicants who are enthusiastic about gaining experience in this specialty and have a good knowledge of child development are encouraged to apply.
The post holder will receive support and supervision from a senior Psychologist. There are also significant opportunities to engage in peer supervision with colleagues in other trusts as well as collaboration with CDS/CAMHS child psychologists across the KCW patch.
