Job summary

We Do Social Work in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Child Exploitation Social Worker to join a specialist Young People's Safeguarding service. The role focuses on children and young people affected by exploitation, particularly Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

You will carry a statutory caseload, undertake safeguarding assessments, and work with partners to reduce risk. Hands-on experience with CSE is essential; candidates without this will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience within children's safeguarding.
• Direct experience of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
• Experience supporting children and young people affected by exploitation.
• Experience of CIN, CP and/or CIC work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a statutory caseload across CIN, CP and CIC.
• Work directly with young people at risk of or experiencing CSE.
• Undertake safeguarding assessments and identify exploitation risks.
• Develop safety and risk management plans.
• Complete direct work with children, young people and families.
• Collaborate with police, education, health and partner agencies.
• Prepare high-quality assessments, reports and statutory documentation.
• Ensure the child's voice remains central to safeguarding activity.
