The Environment Agency is seeking a Specialist in Chemical Hazard Evaluation to assess the environmental impact of chemicals under UK regulations. We are recruiting a regulatory scientist to assess the environmental hazard and risk of industrial and consumer chemicals under the UK REACH and CLP Regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to incidents is integral; you must be available for incident response and business continuity, with training provided.
Team overview: The Chemicals Assessment Unit supports HSE and UK Government on environmental hazards related to chemicals, assessing risks and proposing management actions, working with international partners.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
Applicants should demonstrate relevant experience in environmental hazard and risk assessment, particularly under REACH and CLP regulations, with examples.
