A leading NHS Talking Therapy service in London seeks a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to provide therapy primarily for adults with anxiety and depression. The role includes working in a collaborative team environment, offering extensive clinical supervision and opportunities for skills development. We are looking for a Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) Therapist to join our compassionate and high-performing team to provide therapy primarily for adults (18+) experiencing difficulties with anxiety and depression.
Since launching in 2009, Back on Track has become a well-established NHS Talking Therapy service and is one of the three services provided by West London NHS Trust. Our main base is in the heart of Hammersmith, near the vibrant Lyric Square market.
We offer all NHS-approved Talking Therapies, including predominantly CBT, as well as EMDR, DIT, IPT, and BCT. We have close links with neighboring services in Ealing and Hounslow and share training events with them.
As a qualified high-intensity CBT therapist, you will benefit from weekly clinical supervision and regular line management. Our team welcomes CBT therapists at any career stage, whether newly qualified or more experienced. We support the service in providing community therapy, and we organize away days and social events throughout the year.
Inner London waiting list support is included as part of the salary package.

A typical week for a full-time CBT therapist involves working at least one evening clinic (12pm–8pm, Monday to Thursday) and spending at least 2 days in the office. The current caseload is approximately 22 booked clinical contacts per week. These contacts include treatment and assessment, with opportunities to develop project management, leadership, and supervision skills alongside clinical competence.
You will need experience in risk management, assessment, formulation, and treatment of disorders such as depression and anxiety. We are committed to addressing any experience gaps through our comprehensive CPD and supervision programs.
