A care service provider in Winchester seeks compassionate support workers to assist individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include helping with daily tasks, community access, and fostering independence. Candidates should have a full clean driving license and a passion for making a positive impact. We are currently looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to provide care for individuals within our Specialist Care service in Winchester area.
We are seeking support workers who are proactive, empathetic, and enjoy engaging with people. Whether you're supporting someone who enjoys cooking and time with their dog or assisting an individual in staying active with outdoor activities and hobbies, your role will be to empower them to live a meaningful and independent life. Your support will involve helping with daily tasks, community activities, personal care, and much more.
We prefer candidates with full-time availability, though part-time roles may also be considered. Shifts are on a rota basis, with every other weekend required. Waking night shifts may also be available.
Given the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full, valid, and clean driving licence.

You’re an experienced, empathetic and resilient Support Worker, deeply committed to assisting individuals with a unique range of disabilities and associated health needs. You will be compassionate, observant, patient and confident. You will be skilled in monitoring changes in mood and developing techniques to calm and de-escalate. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of complex needs. You’re able to communicate clearly and sensitively with vulnerable people and their families, and always adopt a person-centred approach.
You enjoy helping individuals to be independent through companionship, providing reassurance and enabling confidence. You take pride in doing a great job and are happy assisting with cooking, domestic duties, personal care, attending appointments and social activities. You’re keen to develop your career through training, learning and gaining relevant qualifications.
You are comfortable with animals (in some cases, you may be supporting individuals with pets like dogs).
The purpose of the role is to support our customers to achieve life goals and aspirations through social, emotional, physical and cultural requirements in a person centred way, as outlined in the customers individualised care plan, in a manner that is professional, positive and upholds the values of SCA Care.
