Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Care Manager for a fixed-term 12-month contract based in Manchester. This role involves leading our Specialist Care team, supporting customers with vulnerable circumstances, and working alongside claims handling teams across multiple product lines. The position offers flexible working arrangements, including attending the office one or two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentoring, training, and developing team members
  • Supporting complex customer and claim cases
  • Ensuring team targets for service, quality, and technical reporting are met
  • Promoting customer care, especially for vulnerable customers, aligned with the Consumer Duty Act 2023
  • Achieving financial targets and influencing financial outcomes
  • Conducting performance reviews and maintaining compliance with processes
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing dedicated support to vulnerable customers and maintaining high contact standards
Essential Requirements
  • Experience handling property insurance claims
  • Proven customer care experience
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competent IT skills and ability to maintain electronic files
  • Strong organizational skills and workload prioritization
