Overview

Bart’s Heart and Thorax Centre (BHTC) are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Cardiac MRI & Cath Labs trained Radiographer to join the largest Cardiovascular Centre in Europe. The Cardiac Imaging department features ten Cardiac Catheter Labs and endovascular theatre, three Cardiac MRI scanners, and a dedicated photon counting Cardiac CT scanner. We lead in world-first procedures, research, and live broadcasting of cases for educational meetings and congresses.

The role is to work as a Specialist Cardiac Radiographer responsible for providing high quality, safe and effective imaging services within Cardiac MRI and Cardiac Cath Labs, with rotation weighted according to service requirements. The post holder will collaborate with Medical and nursing staff, Radiographers, students, and the multidisciplinary team to enable timely diagnosis and treatment for patients from across the NEL network and beyond, ensuring effective radiation protection and magnet safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, safe imaging services within Cardiac MRI and Cardiac Cath Labs.
• Work closely with the MDT and clinical staff to enable timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Maintain radiation protection and magnet safety standards at all times.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, 24-hour Heart Attack and Arrhythmia service environment as part of the team.
• Engage in research activities and opportunities to publish and present findings.
