Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) invites applications for a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Band 6). The role offers opportunities across multiple sites to deliver a full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic services while contributing to service development and staff progression.
The post includes support for advanced procedures as a second operator, with exposure to complex investigations and participation in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and PPCI pathways.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and dynamic Specialist Cardiac Physiologists to join the Cardiac Physiology team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
The successful candidates will work across MFT sites, providing high-quality cardiac diagnostic services within both a large tertiary centre and community settings. As a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist, you will work across the full range of non-invasive and Invasive cardiac diagnostic services, developing and maintaining your clinical skills across a varied and busy service.
You will also have the opportunity to support advanced specialist procedures as a second operator, working under the supervision of an Advanced or Expert Cardiac Physiologist and developing your experience in more complex investigations and procedures.
The role also includes working within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, where you will participate in a wide range of invasive cardiac procedures and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care throughout the procedural pathway.
You will also participate in the on-call service for Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PPCI), providing specialist cardiac physiology support for patients requiring emergency coronary intervention.
