Job Description:

We are seeking a committed and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to lead the Cardiac Devices service at our client’s busy acute hospital site, based in Liversedge.

This is a full-time role, but our client is open to hearing from applicants seeking to negotiate part-time hours.

You will perform duties as a Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist (HSCP) within cardiac rhythm management (CRM), including but not limited to:

  • implantation and follow-up of ICDs,
  • CRT devices,
  • Brady devices,
  • ILRs.

Additional duties include performing a wide range of cardiac investigations, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting results across invasive and non-invasive cardiology.

This organisation is Britain’s largest not-for-profit healthcare provider with over 30 acute hospitals across the UK.

Patients are taken from initial enquiry through to aftercare under the care of one consultant, ensuring complete continuity of care.

The department offers complex cardiology services including echocardiogram, paediatric cardiology, cardiac MRI scans, balloon valvuloplasty, open heart surgery, and PFO closures.

The Leeds Hospital, near the city centre and railway station, is a state-of-the-art facility with an 'Outstanding' CQC rating, offering a full range of medical and surgical specialties, with 80 bedrooms, an 8-bed Level 3 ICU, and 6 theatres.

Person requirements:

  • Qualified Cardiac Physiologist
  • Registration with the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS)
  • Certification in cardiac devices from HRUK or equivalent
  • Current or recent UK practice experience, including specific Cardiac Devices experience
