An NHS Trust is looking for an enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology and Blood Transfusion team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The role includes working within a 24/7 service and training in various disciplines while maintaining an accredited service. Candidates should have relevant post-registration experience and be willing to work flexible hours across different sites.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, with relevant post-registration experience, to join the team in Haematology and Blood Transfusion at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
We are seeking a suitably qualified Biomedical Scientist to assist with the provision of a diagnostic service and support the delivery of a 24/7 service as part of a 37.5-hour work week, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank/public holidays.
The successful candidate will be expected to train in relevant disciplines and rotate through all sections of the department. You may be required to work at other sites as needed.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital (SaTH) Pathology Services are accredited to UKAS standards. The Haematology section is equipped with Sysmex XN and CS2500 analysers. Automated BioRad equipment is used in the Blood Transfusion Department. The department is an approved IBMS/HCPC training laboratory, and continuous professional development is actively encouraged.
