We provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus and balance disorders, are a centre for paediatric audiology and have a busy Auditory Implant Programme.

Our service offers comprehensive diagnostics and rehabilitation for hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders, with a focus on paediatric audiology and a busy Auditory Implant Programme.
The role is funded at ( with potential extension to a full-time contract. It is a one-year fixed-term contract covering an internal secondment.
This role involves both adult and paediatric audiology services. The adult component focuses on providing diagnostic and hearing aid rehabilitation services for adults with hearing loss, tinnitus, and hyperacusis, including complex cases. The paediatric component involves hearing assessments and hearing aid provision across all ages, along with routine support for ENT clinics. Full training will be provided as needed. You will supervise audiologists in training and contribute to service development.
OUH is among the UK’s largest teaching hospital trusts, offering a comprehensive paediatric audiology service that includes assessments for newborns, behavioural and objective assessments for children, and habilitation for children with hearing loss. Our adult audiology service manages complex hearing loss pathways, with opportunities in tinnitus, hearing therapy, neuro-otology, and neurofibromatosis clinics. Our auditory implant programme integrates with these services, providing seamless patient rehabilitation.
You will join a large team of Audiologists, Assistant Audiologists, Clinical Scientists, Hearing Therapists, and administrative staff. The service actively participates in training, including STP trainees and degree apprenticeships, and offers an in-house CPD programme.
Applicants should be Audiologists or Clinical Scientists (Audiology) with a BSc, PTP, STP, or MSc in Audiology, registered with AHCS or HCPC. NHS experience in adult and paediatric audiology is preferred. Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and teamwork are essential.
