We have a great opportunity for an HCPCregistered psychologist to work in our inpatient services in Older Adult MentalHealth. We have up to full time hours and can be flexible about workingpatterns. This post is based in Hereford at the Stonebow unit but there couldbe some flexibility about working in Bromsgrove at our other inpatient facility.We have two wards in each county, one supporting people with dementia and theother with people over 65 with mental health needs. Psychology is highlyvalued, both in terms of complex client work, as well as supporting teams informulating care, delivering training and leading service development. We wouldprovide excellent supervision. Providing assessments and interventions for older peoplewith complex health needs, including neuropsychological assessment.Interventions may involve family members and carers and include liaison andconsultation.
Active contribution to MDTs: providing case discussionand care planning with an emphasis on sharing formulations and evidence basedcare
Providing clinical expertise and leadership inthe psychological needs of older people and their families and contributing to aculture of support and collaboration both in the service and with partneragencies.
