What's the role?

Are you a dynamic and versatile Specialist Sales Account Manager with a passion for learning and the skills to nurture strong relationships and influence positive outcomes?

As a Specialist Rail Sales Account Manager, you will be the face of Hilti, the very foundation of our business and direct sales model, and part of a Specialist community within the 350+ Account Managers in Great Britain alone. This field-based role focuses on forging lasting relationships with customers working on the key Rail infrastructure of the UK, within the disciplines of Electrification, Signalling, Permanent Way, and rail civil, adopting a partnership approach to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability.

What does the role involve?

You will be covering Scotland, particularly Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Central Belt, and the North East of England, meeting customers to understand their needs and providing tailor-made solutions.

Responsibilities include demonstrating innovative products and software, developing 'focus' customers through relationship building, and uncovering new business opportunities.

You will manage your sales area's operations, organization, and strategy, utilizing our Salesforce CRM system.

What you need is:
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or in customer-facing B2B or B2C sales, from any industry.
  • Experience or background in Rail, Engineering, Construction, or Technical sectors is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel long distances and sometimes stay overnight.
  • A solution-oriented mindset to identify customer pain points and provide suitable solutions.
  • Alignment with our values – commitment, teamwork, courage, and integrity.
  • Resilience and adaptability to engage with all customer levels, from Site Operators to Managing Directors.
  • Motivation, curiosity, and a passion for learning and growth.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A full, clean UK manual driving license.
