An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Paediatric Physiotherapy service as a permanent Band 6 Rotational Paediatric Physiotherapist.

Job Overview
Rotations (9 months) are within the following areas:
- Neurosciences: Neurology, neurosurgery and oncology - Based at St George's Hospital.
- Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU): PICU and ward respiratory caseloads - Based at St George's Hospital.
- Trauma and Orthopaedics: Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for pre and post elective orthopaedic surgery in addition to the inpatient major trauma orthopaedic caseload. - Based at St George's Hospital.
- Respiratory: Supporting the specialist respiratory outpatient clinics alongside some of the acute respiratory caseload - Based at St George's Hospital.
- Child Development Centre: Over 5's and under 5's neuro-developmental, neuro-orthopaedic, multidisciplinary clinics, mainstream schools, special schools nurseries and home visits. Clinics are based at St George's Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton.
- Musculoskeletal (MSK): MSK, orthopaedics including supporting neonatal orthopaedic outpatients. Clinics are based at St George's Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated physiotherapist to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. You will be working with babies, children and young people with a range of health needs and will be committed to family centred practice.
The successful candidate will be based at either one or a combination of the sites listed above. We provide an integrated acute and community service and work together as a cohesive team.

Person Specification
Qualification and Training
- HCPC Registered as a qualified Physiotherapist
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
- Degree or equivalent in physiotherapy
- Post graduate training or education (e.g. relevant courses)
- Special interest group membership
Experience
- NHS experience as a qualified physiotherapist.
- Experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in respiratory, neurology, MSK and orthopaedics
- Experience in paediatric physiotherapy as a B5 or B6
- Student supervision / clinical education
- Teaching experience of in-service programs
- Participation in respiratory on-call and/or weekend rota
- Experience running courses - internal / external
Knowledge
- Remains updated with professional practice and new research
- Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
- Evidence of participation in research / audit
- Knowledge of SGH specialties/team and enthusiasm for SGH in application
Salary: £46,419 to £55,046 a year p.a. pro rata inclusive of HCAS (Inner)
