Job Description:

We are working with a high-performing European special situations investment firm managing over $2 billion+ in AUM across both primary and secondary strategies. The platform invests in complex, event-driven opportunities across stressed/distressed debt, structured equity, and corporate special situations. The firm is seeking a Junior Investment Professional with 1-2 years of buyside or relevant investing experience.

This role offers significant exposure to deal execution, underwriting, and strategic portfolio work, with a focus on bespoke and non-standard situations.

Deal Support & Research

  • Assist senior investment professionals in evaluating new special situations opportunities.
  • Perform fundamental credit analysis and capital structure assessments in complex investment contexts.
  • Conduct market and sector research to identify dislocated or transitional assets.
  • Support underwriting processes including financial modeling, downside case testing, and return analysis.
  • Prepare draft investment memoranda, internal briefings, and presentation materials.
  • Assist in managing due diligence processes involving external advisors and counterparties.
  • Contribute to execution workstreams, including documentation review and deal coordination.
  • Help track portfolio performance, financial KPIs, and event milestones.
  • Monitor covenant compliance, restructuring triggers, and liquidity positions.
  • Participate in discussions around strategy, governance, and exit planning.

Fluency in a European language and experience in special situations, restructuring, or stressed credit analysis will be considered a strong plus.
