Pearse Partners has been mandated by an established European-focused investment firm to hire a Special Situations Associate into their London office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth financial and operational analysis of stressed, distressed, and event-driven opportunities across Europe.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and recovery scenarios.
  • Perform due diligence on potential investments, including market research, legal documentation review, and operational assessments.
  • Prepare investment committee materials and contribute to deal structuring and execution.
  • Monitor portfolio positions, assist in asset management initiatives, and liaise with advisers and counterparties.

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in distressed debt, special situations, credit investing and restructuring advisory.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial statements and credit documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • European language skills (especially Spanish, Italian, German, or French) are desirable, though not essential.
