Job summary

Pearse Partners is seeking an Associate for its Credit Special Situations team in London. The role focuses on underwriting opportunities across stressed and distressed credit, with emphasis on cash flow, capital structures and event-driven opportunities.

The successful candidate will bring investment banking or related credit experience, with robust financial modelling and credit analysis capabilities to support value realization in complex situations.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, restructurings, distressed debt, or private credit.
• Strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills.
• Experience in special situations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new investment opportunities across the credit and special situations markets.
• Analyse capital structures, liquidity, debt documentation and recovery values.
• Build detailed cash flow, leverage, restructuring and returns models.
• Assess downside protection, catalysts and potential paths to value realisation.
• Work on complex situations including restructurings, refinancings, liability management transactions and other corporate events.
• Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the investment process.

I’m working with a leading investment platfrom that are looking to hire an Associate into its Special Situations team in London.

The team invests across stressed and distressed credit, complex capital structures, restructurings, liability management and event-driven situations, with a focus on identifying attractive risk-adjusted returns through detailed fundamental and downside analysis.

The role offers the opportunity to:

• Underwrite new investment opportunities across the credit and special situations markets
• Analyse capital structures, liquidity, debt documentation and recovery values
• Build detailed cash flow, leverage, restructuring and returns models
• Assess downside protection, catalysts and potential paths to value realisation
