Job summary

Millwood School is seeking conscientious teaching assistants (level 1) to join a well-established, outstanding special school serving children with significant additional educational needs. You will support learning in a nurturing, inclusive environment and work under the guidance of experienced teachers.

You will work with a friendly team, contribute to individual learning objectives, and help deliver programmes of study and therapy-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Be warm, supportive, resilient and nurturing, demonstrating unconditional positive regard to all pupils

• Be committed to creating a safe and fun environment for children to learn and develop
• Demonstrate the ability to work across the school within a team under the guidance of the teacher to contribute to, and implement, agreed programmes of study and individual learning objectives; programmes of therapy to support communication and physical development; individual behaviour plans.
