Job summary

The Bridge School is an all-age special school for pupils with profound and complex learning needs, located across multiple sites in Shrewsbury. We are seeking dedicated teachers to join a supportive staff team and governors.

You will plan and deliver highly personalised, multi-sensory learning experiences and work with families, health professionals, and other staff to support pupils with SEND. Holds QTS (or equivalent/working towards) and a resilient, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS (or equivalent/working towards).
• Caring, patient and committed to supporting pupils with SEN.
• Resilient and reliable, able to collaborate with families and professionals.
• Adaptable, creative and able to respond to individual needs.
• Willing to learn specialist approaches used within the school.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver highly personalised multi-sensory learning experiences.
• Demonstrate small-step progress for pupils with severe needs.
• Support pupils with communication, sensory and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with staff, health professionals and families.
• Use Makaton, AAC and other sensory-based learning approaches.
• Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment across sites.
• Plan and support educational visits.
