Job summary

CENTRAL LONDON COMMUNITY HEALTH TRUST is seeking a term-time nurse to support the Special School Nursing Team across Oakleigh, Maple Down, and outreach sites. You will assist with care plans, medication administration, and clinical measurements, rotating between sites as needed.

Experience with children with complex health needs and special school settings is valued. The role involves safeguarding knowledge, independent work at times, and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Evidence of CPD with children up to NVQ level 3.
• Care Certificate, or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Support registered nurses to provide safe, high-quality care for children and young people with complex healthcare and additional needs in special schools.
• Support children’s care plans and administer medication in line with CLCH policies and procedures.
• Carry out height and weight measurements and complete continence assessments.
• Work closely with registered nurses and liaise with other agencies involved in a child's care.
• Support the training of Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to deliver children's care plans at school.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice within the Special School Nursing Team.
• Work flexibly as part of the team and independently, including being the only nurse on site at times.
• Travel between sites to support the nursing team.
