Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Special School Nurse (Band 5 or 6) to provide specialised health care support for children and young people with medical needs at Harrow special schools.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of the Harrow Community Children's Nursing Team. Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you have the passion to join our well-established team and support ongoing transformation?

The Special School Nursing Team operates in the schools from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will be responsible for providing excellent, high-quality service to children in Harrow who have additional and special educational needs. Your role will involve working closely with children, their parents or caregivers, and other key partners to improve health outcomes and help children with special needs reach their full potential in all environments: at home, in the community, and at school.

Good communication and positive working relationships with school staff and the leadership team are essential parts of this role.

We encourage applications from children's or learning disability nurses who have experience or a strong interest in working with children with additional needs.

We offer job satisfaction along with training, support, and clinical supervision. If you want to join a team that values your contributions and provides the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
