We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join STI Ltd as aSpecial Processes Operator, based at our manufacturing site in Hook, Hampshire. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

The shift pattern is below:

Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm

As the Special Processes Operator, you will carry out activities across Special Processes, Wash and Wave Solder to quality and industry standards.

The Special Processes Operatorrole will involve:

• Creating programmes, operating and maintaining the router and select solder machines
• Preparing and cleaning PCBs and stencils for production
• Pre-forming, tin dipping, masking and cutting PCBs out of panels
• Carrying out press fits
• Running the wash machines and delivering boards back to production
• Maintaining the wash machines and working with Engineering on issues
• Masking PCBs
• Selecting or producing programmes for the Wave Solder machine
• Running and maintaining the Wave Solder machine
• Complying with all 5S activities as required

For this role, you will need:

• Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
• IPC certifications are desirable but not required as full training can be provided
• Experience is desirable but not required as full training can be provided
• Understanding of component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs is desirable but not required as full training can be provided High attention to detail and accuracy
