We have a vacancy within our Quality Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Special Process Quality Engineer. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.Shift Pattern: 39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally, you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Role Accountabilities:Operational Control- Support delivery of our quality, cost, delivery and OPEX targets.
- Maintain and develop a comprehensive and documented Quality Walk the Floor routine to control and improve the performance of the business in line with required targets and standards, the output of which is to feed the DOMs.
- Maintain and audit the Quality Assurance System in line with customer specific requirements, AS9100, ISO14001 & NADCAP - NDT and Heat Treat
Compliance and New Product Introduction & Development (NPDI)- Support the delivery of NPI
- Maintaining and reporting against key performance indicators to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Maintain & improve a comprehensive internal audit program to control and continually improve the performance of Quality System in line with required targets and standards.
- Be prepared for audits at all times, through the maintenance of Quality Assurance processes.
- Maintenance of control plans, Process flow charts PFMEA & PPAP.
Create Competitive Advantage- Supporting training and development of team members
- Analyse the output of the Walk the Floor routine to report on findings against the Quality System and to identify problems for resolution by the operational teams and / or relevant functional teams..
- Reduce the cost of non-conformance by engaging with the teams & carrying out continuous improvement / lean initiatives.
- Review & disposition of internal scrap - NCR completion
- Generation, review & closure of supplier/sub-con NCRs.
- Monitoring the resolution of identified problems (Internal & external) and ensuring that the new standards determined by this solution are maintained, and where necessary, built into the Walk the Floor routines.
- Identifying actual or potential problems (variations to the required target or standard) and taking the necessary actions to contain, solve or escalate these problems within an appropriate timescale by engaging others
- Improve investigation, problem-solving and follow-up of Quality Assurance issues to prevent both potential & recurring problems.
- Provide support to all manufacturing and planning areas to achieve our 100% quality target and Zero-Defect culture.
