Job summary

Westfield Arts College is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Dorset. You will help pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities and assist with personal care and health needs as required.

The role is permanent and term-time only, 31.65 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.40 to 3.30, across the school as needed. A flexible, compassionate approach and good literacy and numeracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or training to support children with special educational needs.
• Passion for helping young people develop confidence and independence.
• Ability to use therapeutic approaches to support behaviour and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with a range of SEN and disabilities.
