Job summary

GSL Education are seeking Support Workers to work with pupils with special educational needs across primary and secondary stages. The role is full-time during term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a temporary to permanent pathway.

Applicants should have at least 6 months hands-on experience with additional needs and hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply through GSL Education.

Qualifications

• 6 months hands-on experience with pupils with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS with update service, or willingness to apply.
• Availability for 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Responsibilities

• Provide a personalised learning experience for pupils.
• Assist with personal care where applicable.
• Support lesson delivery in line with national curriculums.
• Behaviour management and intervention support.
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students.
• Collaborate with Education Psychologists, Social Workers and CAMHS.
• Engage with students with various needs and backgrounds.
