Job summary

GSL Education is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for both primary and secondary settings. The role starts ASAP, with a permanent option for the right candidate, and requires DBS clearance and safeguarding knowledge.

The post is full-time with term-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:15pm, in a Special School environment. Candidates should have experience in SEN settings, knowledge of the National Curriculum, and a commitment to an inclusive educational approach, supporting student

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEN requirements (PD, Personal Care, learning difficulties, SEMH, autism, PDA, ADHD, Looked After Children).
• Experience in an education or support role is desirable.
• Understanding of the National Curriculum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding SEND support in long- or short-term roles.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
• Be dedicated to inclusive education and student development.
• Support the school's ethos and safeguarding expectations.
