Protocol Education is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join schools supporting children with a variety of additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to help nurture, encourage, and empower SEN pupils within a caring and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and SEN coordinators to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. You will play a vital role in assisting with learning activities, behaviour management, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individual and small groups of SEN pupils in class and during activities

  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies

  • Help adapt classroom resources to meet pupils’ needs

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to build confidence and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
