About the Role

We are looking for a caring and committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school in Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional needs and help them thrive both academically and socially.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring that every child is included and able to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs (including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties).
  • Provide individualised learning support in class and during interventions.
  • Encourage pupils confidence, independence, and social development.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and activities to suit different learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
What Were Looking For
  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or childcare setting).
  • A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication skills with both pupils and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
