Job summary

The Gallery Trust is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for Springfield School in the United Kingdom. You will support the teacher in creating an organised, vibrant learning environment and assist pupils with their learning across a range of contexts.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Understanding of child development and learning.
• Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and seek opportunities.
• Flexibility to work across the whole school to meet pupil needs.
• Active role in supporting PE lessons and swimming sessions.
• Ability to use ICT to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher in creating an organised and vibrant learning environment.
• Support pupils in their learning under the direction of the teacher.
• Assist the class teacher with observations of pupil progress and school records.
• Support pupils to work on IEPs and assist recording objectives.
• Prepare the classroom for activities and maintain an orderly learning space.
