Job summary

Five Education in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and mental health needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day. Applicants from roles such as TA, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker or Youth Worker are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Experience supporting pupils with SEND or mental health needs.
Ability to adapt learning activities to individual pupil needs.
Patience, compassion and resilience in challenging situations.
Right to work in the UK and ability to provide two references.

Responsibilities

Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups in classroom and outdoor activities.
Help pupils stay focused, calm and regulated throughout the day.
Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs and abilities.
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language needs, sensory needs and behavioural challenges.
Build strong relationships with pupils and staff to enable growth.
Maintain a safe, stimulating, positive learning environment.
