Job summary

Advantage Education invites compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 4–19 with a range of complex needs at a specialist SEN school.

You'll help children access learning through personalised strategies, support emotional regulation and positive behaviour, and assist with sensory activities. Training is provided where needed, with opportunities for career progression and a caring staff environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in SEN, care, support work, youth work, nurseries or healthcare welcomed but not essential.
  • Patient and understanding, calm under pressure and resilient.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to learn and develop; training provided where required.

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small classes.
  • Help pupils access learning through personalised strategies.
  • Encourage communication, independence and confidence.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Assist with sensory activities and therapeutic interventions.

We're looking for compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of complex additional needs.

This isn't just another Teaching Assistant role.

Your Role
