Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils with a range of needs in a Taunton school. The role focuses on providing tailored learning support, implementing IEPs, and promoting inclusive education in a nurturing environment.

You will work with children with autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, and related needs, in a on-site setting, with opportunities for training and professional development.

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Taunton. Our school caters to secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs, including:

• Autism
• Asperger's Syndrome
• ADHD
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to our students, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting individual students and small groups with their learning and development
• Assisting with classroom activities and preparing learning materials
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring progress
