Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with a variety of SEN.
  • Work closely with class teachers to implement individual learning plans.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and student progress tracking.
  • Act as a mentor and guide for students as they work toward their goals.
Qualifications
  • Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check, or the willingness to apply for one.
  • At least six months of experience in a similar role within a UK school.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or experience working with children with special educational needs are preferred.
