Job description

Job Title: Primary Special Needs Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate Special Needs Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism? We are seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team, working with Year 7/8 students, delivering lessons at Key Stage 2 level. No prior experience in SEN is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to support the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver lessons tailored to Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on meeting the individual needs of the students.
  2. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  3. Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCo, and other professionals to develop personalized learning plans.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional development of students.
  5. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and reporting to parents and colleagues.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. No prior experience in SEN required - we are looking for a motivated and compassionate teacher.
  3. A passion for supporting children with Autism and additional needs.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
