6th Form Teacher - Secondary Special Needs School (SEND), Harrow

Location: Harrow, West London
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: 195 - 255 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (September 2025 - July 2026)

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a 6th Form SEND Teacher to join a fantastic, modern secondary special needs school in Harrow for the (Apply online only) academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher passionate about post-16 education and supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Role

As a 6th Form Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver a broad and balanced post-16 curriculum tailored to learners with SEND

  • Follow subject-specific lesson plans (Maths, English, Science and more) designed by experienced subject leaders

  • Support students in developing academic progress, life skills and independence

  • Create a nurturing, engaging and structured learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team of SEN professionals and teaching assistants

  • Use creativity, flexibility and patience to meet the diverse needs of learners

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent teaching qualification)

  • Has previous experience teaching students with SEND, or a strong interest in special education

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management, communication and relationship-building skills

  • Is adaptable, reliable and able to follow specialist guidance while bringing their own initiative

  • Has the passion and resilience to make a lasting difference to young people with additional needs
