About the Role:
Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2025. This is a full-time position supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support individual progress, while working collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to pupils with a variety of SEN needs
Create and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
Collaborate with SENCO, teaching assistants, and external agencies
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience working with children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and inclusive teaching strategies
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching
