Overview

Affinity Workforce Solutions are seeking an experienced SEN Qualified Teacher to join a dedicated SEN School. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or final year students and are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who will indulge a modified curriculum for an amazing group of individuals across different key stages and specialisms.

Qualifications
  • QTS
  • Can teach primary and secondary pupils and parents
  • Knowledge of primary/secondary age curriculum expectations
  • Be able to teach a variety of subjects including English and Maths
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Promote the school's vision and aims positively and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards
Responsibilities
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviors and implementing the school behavior policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • Pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
