We work closely with several fantastic special schools in Wiltshire & North Somerset that have various Special Needs Support roles available from September.

These schools differ in their needs; they support students aged 4-19 with a wide range of special needs, including SEMH, ASD, Complex Needs, MLD, PMLD & SLD. Additional support will be needed from September!

The roles

The available roles are often Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant positions. These roles typically involve providing general classroom support and assisting students, often on a 1-1 basis. Ideal candidates will be resilient, adaptable, team players, patient, enthusiastic, positive, and confident in managing challenging behaviour.

While each special school has different student needs, it is essential that applicants have some prior experience working with children, preferably with SEN/SEMH students.
