Teaching Assistant

£89-£95

A nurturing and friendly three-form entry junior school in Havering are looking to welcome talented Teaching Assistants to their team in September 2025.

The school are excited to hire new staff to be based within the Key Stage 2, to support the new intake of children with additional needs. The Classroom Assistant would need to have experience of supporting children with ASC, and SEMH. The SENDCO has built a team of committed and able support staff, willing to be flexible and often support outside of their remit, with a leadership team that is understanding and respectful of their team. Working hours are (Apply online only) with a 45 minute break in total. The school is accessible from both Romford and Newbury Park stations.

Responsibilities
  • Support children within Key Stage 2, including those with additional needs.
  • Provide assistance to pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment and adapt support as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience of supporting children within a formal learning environment.
  • Previous experience of supporting children and young adults within the care sector.
  • Fully enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, along with 2 professional references.
