Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - Coulsdon - Education and Training - Learning Difficulties - SLD - SEN - £85-£100 per day
Do you have a passion for supporting children with Learning Difficulties, including Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs?
This specialist built school in Coulsdon is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to support children aged 4-17 with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
The Special Needs Learning Support Assistant role is an excellent way to get your 'foot in the door', providing the opportunity to work closely and network with other teams of professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your knowledge and skillset. The role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.
Career progression routes include Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and various Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes. This Coulsdon-based school will provide you with education and training.
A common feature for many children and young people with special educational needs is marginalisation and disadvantage, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment, and stigmatisation. Subsequently, they face many barriers in life and are more 'at risk' of negative outcomes. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
Start date: ASAP
Training: Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4.00pm, term time only
Salary: £85-£100 per day
