Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Special Needs Job Coach in Huddersfield for a full-time, permanent on-site role. You will support young people with SEND, design person-centred plans, and secure internships with local employers to build employability skills.

You will deliver individual and group coaching, conduct assessments, monitor progress, and provide on-site support to ensure successful transitions into sustained employment while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with SEND and other barriers to employment.
• Proven experience in job coaching, supported internships, or employability programmes.
• Track record of engaging employers and securing workplace placements.
• Ability to conduct assessments, create person-centred plans, and monitor outcomes.
• Familiarity with safeguarding, reporting, and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management of participants with SEND, maintaining accurate records and progress reports.
• Deliver individual and group coaching to develop workplace skills, communication, and independence.
• Identify, secure, and support internship and job placements with local employers.
• Liaise with educational staff, families, and employers to align support plans and learning goals.
• Conduct initial assessments, regular reviews, and outcome-focused reporting.
• Facilitate pre-employment workshops and bespoke training sessions.
• Provide in-work support and on-site job coaching to ensure placement retention and successful transitions.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and health and safety in all activities.
