This specialist school near Farnham is looking for a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support children aged 4-17 with learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
The Classroom Assistant role offers an excellent opportunity to support children academically and pastorally. You will work closely with other professionals, gaining relevant experience, and expanding your skills. This role provides essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting.
Career progression routes include becoming a Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or pursuing Child Psychology and Educational Psychology routes.
Many children with special educational needs face marginalisation, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment, and stigmatisation. As a Classroom Assistant, you will help provide consistency and equip children with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident in their potential.
Start date: ASAP / September 2024, with trial days to ensure suitability
Training, support, and CPD are provided to ensure safeguarding
Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm, term time only
Pay: £80-£85 per day
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship available
