Job Title: Special Needs Care Worker
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £13.68 – 16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Full-time/ Part-time

Responsibilities of the Special Needs Care Worker:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with SEN, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Assist with daily routines, learning activities, and therapeutic sessions.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment tailored to individual needs.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement personalised care plans.
• Encourage independence, communication, and social interaction among students.
• Use specialist equipment when required and follow health and safety protocols.

Qualifications of the Special Needs Care Worker:

• Previous experience in SEN support, care work, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with additional needs.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a variety of needs and situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications in care or SEN support (desirable but not essential).

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
• Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
