Job summary

Education Partnership North East is seeking an experienced health care practitioner to join the Directorate of Inclusive Learning. You will develop, implement and promote individualized support strategies for students with SEND, including personal care tasks and safe lifting.

The role requires observing wellbeing, ensuring safety, dignity and comfort, and collaborating with Inclusive Learning Teams to improve outcomes for learners. A background in SEND and caring for students is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Learning Support or willingness to work towards.
• Moving and Assisting.
• Grade C or above for Maths and English or willingness to work towards.
• Supporting individuals with learning difficulties/disabilities and medical needs.
• Delivering high standards of personal care requirements.
• Experience in maintaining, monitoring and reviewing student care/ support plans.
• Advocating for individuals with Learning Difficulties and/or disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to students with a wide range of needs and disability’s
• Follow and be aware of individual Care plans/medical care plans/eating plan/ emergency care plans.
• Observe, monitor and record students’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes.
• Encourage the independence and motivation of the students, and not to foster dependent behaviour.
